The three Principals are responsible for managing BlueArc Mezzanine Partners. Their 70+ years of combined operational, banking, investing, and investment banking experience provide the fund with the expertise and relationships to add value to every transaction.

Mr. Barfield has significant experience in the origination and comprehensive execution of a broad range of middle market transactions. Prior to BlueArc Mezzanine Partners, Mr. Barfield was in the debt investment group at H.I.G. Capital and, prior to that, spent five years at Nancy Creek Capital, a lower middle market mezzanine fund. From 1997 until joining Nancy Creek Capital in 2008, Mr. Barfield held various positions within Wachovia Securities. From 1997 until 2003, he worked within a range of transaction execution groups, including M&A, debt capital markets, and private equity and mezzanine placement. From 2003 to 2008 he was the Investment Banking origination officer for the Southeast, responsible for Florida, Georgia and Alabama. During this time, he closed eight to 12 transactions per year ranging in size from $30 million to $500 million.
Prior to joining Wachovia, Mr. Barfield was a Manager in Ernst & Young’s National Corporate Finance Group. His responsibilities included strategic planning, corporate finance consulting, and merger and acquisition transaction execution, specifically large-scale consolidation deals. Before that Mr. Barfield spent two years in Ernst and Young’s National Tax Practice Group developing business and tax planning and compliance strategies for corporations and shareholders.
Mr. Barfield holds a MAC in Accounting and a BS in Business Administration from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina.

Steven T. Brannon

Mr. Brannon has experience in private capital investing, investment banking, business valuation, commercial banking, and operations as an executive manager. Prior to BlueArc Mezzanine Partners, Mr. Brannon was a Principal for nine years at Nancy Creek Capital, a lower middle market mezzanine fund. From 2002 until joining Nancy Creek Capital in 2006, he was a Principal of Action Air, LLC, a privately-held commercial distribution and services company, where revenue more than tripled during his tenure. From 2000 to 2002, Mr. Brannon worked in the Investment Banking Group at Raymond James & Associates, where his activities included executing public and private capital raises, mergers and acquisitions transactions, and strategic advisory assignments with a focus on telecommunications equipment companies.
Prior to receiving his MBA, Mr. Brannon spent two years in the Business Valuation Group at KPMG Peat Marwick. He was responsible for providing business enterprise, capital stock, and intangible asset valuations. He also spent over two years in the Commercial Banking Group at NationsBank. During that time, he managed a senior debt portfolio of 25 middle market companies with revenue ranging from $5 million to $150 million.
Mr. Brannon holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a BBA from the University of Georgia.

Michael Roher

Prior to the formation of BMP, Mr. Roher served, and will continue to serve, as Managing Partner-Private Equity, for BlueArc Capital Partners, LLC. With over 30 years of private equity investing and investment banking experience, Mr. Roher has been directly involved in the successful execution of a variety of acquisitions, divestitures, and equity and debt financings aggregating over $11 billion in value. Prior to BlueArc, he founded and operated for fourteen years Roher Capital Group, a private equity and merchant banking firm that was acquired by BlueArc Capital.
Before Roher Capital Group, Mr. Roher was the President and founder of Center Street Capital Partners, LLC, a $110 million private equity firm affiliated with the Stephens Family Office. At its height, Center Street companies generated $500 million of revenues and employed over 1,500 workers. Prior to founding Center Street, he served as Director of Fixed Income Corporate Finance for Stephens Inc., one of the largest privately owned investment banks in the U.S., where he worked principally with closely held and family owned companies. Mr. Roher was responsible for originating, structuring and raising private equity and debt capital for the firm’s corporate clients, as well as originating new acquisition opportunities for the multi-billion dollar Stephens Family Office private equity portfolio. He was also responsible for advising on management buyouts and acquisitions conducted by the firm’s clients.
Before joining Stephens Inc., Mr. Roher served as Vice President in the Corporate Finance department at Citigroup and as an Associate at Salomon Brothers Inc. In New York in the Corporate Finance Department.
He is a graduate of New York University (BS in Finance) and the NYU Stern School of Business (MBA). He is a member of Vistage International, a founding member of the Louisiana Chapter of the ACG and a member of the Association of Corporate Growth.
